I’m a US Air Force Security Police veteran and have over 35 years in the industry. I’m a BSIS Firearms and Baton Instructor, as well as Red Cross and American Heart Association Instructor. My last six years have been an Operations Manager for the Patrol Department of Park La Brea, a residential community of over 10,000 residents, managing a staff of roughly 50 officers. PERSONAL STATEMENT: I have well over 39 years background in the Security Field, as well as both personnel and resource management. I am highly competent and possess good leadership skills. I have been a certified instructor since 1994, and have both field and classroom experience. I am well versed in both PC and Mac, and am fluent in numerous applications including Word, Word Perfect, Excel, Outlook, etc… I’m a published author, with exceptional writing and proofreading skills. My paperwork and reports are of the highest quality; highly detailed and accurate. Being an experiential learner, I am able to master new concepts and skills quickly, with a minimum of instruction. I am very mechanically inclined and prefer hands-on training. I also have a strong aptitude for teaching. My extensive background in the field of security contributes to my abilities in the areas of loss prevention and crisis management. I am dedicated, reliable, and very detail oriented. Tanisha Ford is a God Fearing Woman, born and raised in Southern California and has two amazing children, Joseph, who is 25 years old and Jazmyne, who is 19 years old. Tanisha has a passion and drive to give other families hope for a second chance in life. She executes a level of professionalism that embodies the culture and spirit like few others in the helping profession for the past ten years. Tanisha served as the Director of Admissions and Operations, Client Advocate and Liaison, and marketing consultant for various drug and alcohol treatment centers throughout Southern California. She works directly with families to facilitate and recognizes how loved ones are fundamental to assisting in the active addiction cycle. Tanisha helps guide those suffering from addiction and provides guidance on how to begin addressing the enabling patterns often seen in addiction and helps to expedite admittance into treatment. She is often the first voice of reason and the first face clients see during the intake process. Today, Tanisha ignites the light in each person she comes across by sharing her past experiences freely with only a heart that sees the best in mentoring families. Tanisha is deeply involved in developing business relationships on behalf of those in need and different treatment centers throughout Southern California and continues to strive to improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of her treatment center’s mission and specifically, help support the individual by better client advocacy while in treatment.
